New Jersey 11, Team DC 10 Game Summary: In a battle of the East Coast, New Jersey narrowly defeated Team DC. DC fell short by a goal despite an 8 point effort (5g, 3a) by Gilbest. Both teams were evenly matched and the game was, in part, decided by a three man penalty situation. A foul and an unsportsmanlike penalty by another player put Team DC down by two men. Before play could resume, the Team DC coach was penalized for Illegal Team Personnel Action for comments to the officials. With a 6-3 advantage, New Jersey scored, and that turned out to be the difference in the contest at the end. Corello for NJ had 2 goals in a balanced NJ effort. Colorado 11, Utah 3 Game Summary: Colorado controlled the game at midfield and shut down most of Utah's offensive chances in a game that many expected to be a close contest at the outset.
