New Jersey 11, Team DC 10

Game Summary: In a battle of the East Coast, New Jersey narrowly defeated Team DC. DC fell short by a goal despite an 8 point effort (5g, 3a) by Gilbest. Both teams were evenly matched and the game was, in part, decided by a three man penalty situation. A foul and an unsportsmanlike penalty by another player put Team DC down by two men. Before play could resume, the Team DC coach was penalized for Illegal Team Personnel Action for comments to the officials. With a 6-3 advantage, New Jersey scored, and that turned out to be the difference in the contest at the end. Corello for NJ had 2 goals in a balanced NJ effort.

Colorado 11, Utah 3
Game Summary: Colorado controlled the game at midfield and shut down most of Utah's offensive chances in a game that many expected to be a close contest at the outset. However, Colorado scored early and took control. Anderson had 4 points (2g, 2a) and Law had 3 goals for Colorado.

Ohio 10, New England 9
A battle and fast-paced game, Team Ohio rallied from a four goal deficit to win the Semi-final game in the division. New England came out strong, and asserted itself right away but Team Ohio woke up and responded to the challenge. In the fourth quarter, Ohio scored five goals including the game tying and game winning goal when they were short-handed on a man-down situation.

Gateway 7, Minnesota 6
Game Summary: Minnesota lacrosse has come a long way in the past few years and the score of this game is an indication of how far. Minnesota lost, but only a slow start by the team kept them from winning this one over a talented Gateway team from St. Louis. Gateway's 2 first quarter goals proved to be the difference. Joly and Seyes each scored 2 goals for Gateway while Achenbad scored 3 goals and 1 assist for Minnesota.

Calgary 14, Delaware 10
Game Summary: Calgary started slow, allowing Delaware to score the first four goals before roaring back for 7 goals in the second quarter and never looking back. Delaware kept it close, but could not overcome the second quarter Calgary stampede. Neill Kalgary made 12 saves for Calgary. Sanders had 3 goals and 2 assists for Calgary while Livadas scored 4 goals and added 2 assists for Delaware. Mellor added 2 goals and an assist for Delaware.

Southeast 14, San Diego 4
Game Summary: Southeast dominated the game, with great transition play that led to several 4-3 and 5-3 situations. San Diego players spent a lot of time in the penalty box which led to more scoring opportunities for Southeast. Goebles had 3 goals and an assist for Southeast and Geener (sp?) added 3 assists for Southeast. Jennings netted a goal for San Diego and Meyers played exceptionally well in the goal for San Diego, stopping 16 shots.

Delaware 13, Virginia 10
Game Summary: With the Delaware Eagles taking a 10-4 lead at the half, Virginia stormed back, in the third and fourth quarters but it wasn't enough to overcome the deficit. Gerardi scored 4 goals for Virginia, Miginski added 3 assists for the team from Virginia. Delaware's Rodriguez had 5 goals and an assist for Delaware while Lirades added 3 goals and an assist for the "Small Wonder" team. Mongan scored 3 for Delaware also.
